Type Locality and Naming

Along the Yangilyk River, a tributary of the Shargun River. M.R. Jalilov, 1968 (190, p.43). Stratotype in the valley of the Yangilyk River, in the area of its confluence with the Shargun River. Enters the Gazdagan horizon (189; 446).

Synonym: Yangilykskaya Suite, Янгиликская св., Yangilik Fm


Lithology and Thickness

Dark green clays with interlayers of limestones, shell rocks, sandstones. Thickness 57-68m.

Lower contact

Lies conformably on the Tagarin Fm

Upper contact

It is overlain conformably by the Shargun Fm.
